Hi. I’m alive! And I haven’t forgotten about xanga- it just took me some time to think of what to write. I feel like a xanga debutante and to be honest, this is really stupid of me but, I’m a little nervous! Putting personal thoughts for public viewing is kind of a bug-eyed/deer-frozen-in-fear-from-headlights nervous nervous (sorry for being redundantly redundant.. eh hem).

But I got over it. J

So after some thought (mostly during my commute)– actually, why don’t I just lead you through my train of thought? Wouldn’t that be fun (eh hem.. YES). Initially, I thought maybe xanga could be a collection of randomness and like a free-for-all of thoughts and stream of consciousness…then I thought of you guys and was like...maybe that would not jive (not very readable) for my subscribers (‘cept maybe hardcore James Joyce fans..hehe). So scratch that. Then I thought perhaps it could be a series of entries on just one topic- like 3 point sermons but then I realized, I ain’t no Tim Keller. So with all this could-be/could-not-be ideas I realized I was ping-ponging between two extremes- overly rigid structure vs. loose as a noodle flexibility. So my new plan of action was to somehow- just SOMEHOW (how dramatic) pick something in the middle.So after some finger tapping and head-nodding (I’d fall asleep on the bus to work), I got inspired- from Song’s testimonial on friendster!

It reads:

“Heather's personality kind of reminds me of Lucy from the Peanuts... she makes me feel like I should pay for advice... but I have to say that she is definitely happier than Lucy most of the time... oh, the sista plays a mean cop in mafia.”

So my newest idea (and this is the trial run here) is to have a “Dear Chaniqua” setup. Not exactly being paid for advice but more like a free service, Dear Abby column. Ya? So let’s see how this will go. There is a twist (there always a twist), this is reality XANGA, YOU decide what will be discussed on Chaniqua’s crib notes, and Chaniqua will give you REAL feedback on those questions. (whoa) How exciting is that?! Okay…I don’t know how this’ll fly so the next few weeks will be the trial period. So how will this work? Youz peepz can ask any questions like- what’s your fave color and why?, could chandler bing from friends BE any funnier?- in the comments section and I’ll try to answer them in the following entry. Sound cool? Groovy. Let the games begin!!
